What’s On The Menu?
The NY Public Library is using online crowd sourcing to help them transcribe the thousands of historical menus they have in their collection. They would never be able to do it on their own so they are asking the public’s help. You go to menus.nypl.org and choose a menu to transcribe. It’s really easy and actually fun. You see what people were eating 100+ years ago, and what it cost! And you are helping to create a searchable database for scholarly research. Check it out.
